U7131 r16 and Engine Stalling

Post by tekim »

I see that this rev has been out for a little while, and hadn't seen any comments on it, so thought I would post my experiences. I had the r14 installed in my truck, and was getting some very frequent stalls, not so hard that it would buck hard or flash a check engine light, but to the point where it would stall about every 20 - 30 mins. Before we left for our fishing trip, I was hoping, and was happy to see a new a new rev. After 750 miles there and back, I am happy so say that I had NOT ONE single stall, and that everything appears to be working fine wrt this concern. I had it set on the Economy tune, and have not had a chance to test the other settings.

The only other issue there still is, is with the Glow Plugs. With the recent tunes, the "glow plug light" does not come on when you turn the ignition key before you start. They must not be engaging, because I am not hearing the click when they would go off as in before. I thougt I read on a previous post that another user was having problems with this issue, and I haven't heard anymore. I live in Alberta, Canada, and as you all know, there is winter here 12 months a year... 8)

Anyway, when it does start to get colder, we may need them glow plugs again.

Thanks,
