this is a u7000 tuner #158 for a 99 Ford Lightning. truck runs fine and shifts fine with overdrive button OFF. when you turn overdrive ON, it shifts too soon and then kicks down like it is confused at wot. it does this on the canned tunes as well as the custom tune. it never did this with my previous Diablo chip. what would the overdrive button have to do with this shifting issue? thanks.

mrad2k3 is the cal id. i have also pinpointed the problem to the part throttle shifting firmness adjustment in the modify parameters section. if i leave the setting stock, all is good. if i try to firm it up any, transmission goes crazy with the od button on. what would cause this? too much pressure maybe. thanks.

robby, do you have the cables to export files? If you could export a copy of the file with issues I can take a look at it.

hey, here is a copy of the custom tune that i run. it also has this shifting issue on the diablo canned tunes as well. like i said, it runs great as long as part throttle shift pressure is not raised.

could a line mod valve cause this?

Do you have a 3.73 in the truck? That is what was in that tune. I left it in there but made a few tweaks, give it a shot...

Thanks Kevin, I actually have a 4.10 but I did see that it was set for 3.73 which I corrected in the parameters. I will shoot you a e mail and ask a few questions if that is ok. Thanks.
