upped the slope and now truck will not idle

Post by GuySmiley »

Hey there, the DSLogRedux suggested I up the inj. slope up +2% but now my truck wants to idle between 400-500 rpm and stall. Had to drive with 2 feet to get my kid to school this morning.

Any suggestions.

Thanks

That +2% was the only change I had made.

ahh, you can either unhook the battery for ten minutes or so to reset your idle or you can just wait til in the morning and hope it idles fine. My 04 did this, and so did a friends 04 when I changed the tune when the motor is warm and the computer tries to keep idling the motor down. It should go away when the motor has cooled down and you restart it.

that change would not screw up the idle... after a flash, the idle could be off.. .but it gets relearned by the ecm after a bit....

it should fall back in line on its own...

I did drive it a bit more yesterday and it was pretty much the same however it never stalled again. Today I drove it to work and it was a tiny bit better. It wants to hold at 600 rpm and then about every 10 seconds dip down to about 450 (feels like it will stall but does not) and then back up.

Hopefully some more drive time will get is straightened out.....
