Hey guys,
Just got a predator last week, previously had a Nelson 93 octane tune on my last truck, but I'm not ready to do that yet with the new truck... it's only got 2,000 miles on it. Added an aFe CAI and Magnaflow muffler (22" case). Loaded up the performance tune and went to logging. The first log attached (Sierra 2) was the first log I took, I made a -7 adjustment like suggested and then logged again... I got the second results (Sierra 3). Made the adjustments again and I'm about to go out and log one last time tomorrow. Can you guys check my logs out and make sure I'm doing this right... also, do I even need to adjust PE once my LTFT's are dialed in, or not?
By the way... truck is an 09 Ext cab LTZ with 5.3/4L60E and G80/3.73 combo.
2009 5.3 Sierra checking in - with logs
RE: 2009 5.3 Sierra checking in - with logs
based on log #3, I would go +1 on the slope adjustment...
so, go +1 from wherever you have it set at now, and that's it... just leave it be...
for the trucks, they tend to run rich... I'd go -2% in the middle and upper rpm ranges for the PE fueling...
and of course, the best bet to get everything dialed in more specifically, would be to get a custom tune for it by a CMR tuner (like myself)....
