Error codes after EGT Probe Install

Post by cartman »

I programmed my 03 Dodge 3500 Cummins for tow mode using a Predator U7130 with 9r05 software and had no problems. Later, after installing an EGT probe (Autometer) about 2 inches above the turbo flange, I noticed that the check engine light would stay on. This still happened when I set it back to the factory program. By cycling the ignition (the Predator didn't detect any codes) the codes P0107 (Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit Low) and P0073 (Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit High) appear. Could the probe be interfering with the manifold pressure enough to cause these and does someone have any troubleshooting ideas or a fix for this?
I also noticed that under acceleration above 2000 rpm, there is a high pitched squeal which disappears when the throttle is released.

Thats odd, cant think of anything that woyuld cause the EGT to cause these issues, unless you jumped 12V off of one of thse harnesses?

No, I ran the 12V from a new circuit directly off the battery with a switch.
