Check your LTFTs...they'll be +/-7% high. Strangely if you lower them 7% they will be 5% low. I'd try -2% the first time. I'm waiting for the right roads to log my PE and adjust.

Lew, I too have a 07Z with the K&N intake and Diablo base tune. Car runs great! If i wanted to change the a/f from the 12.0-12.3:1 that the base tune has to around 12.8-13.0:how do I do that? Thanks for your help!

at normal driving/cruising, you can't change the AFR, since the ECM automatically adjusts everything to keep the AFR at 14.7.

for WOT though, you can adjust the fueling in the PE (power enrichment) section. there are 2 rpm ranges in the PE menu - 2-4k and 4-7k...

what you want to do is select the tune like you're gonna install it - but instead of installing it, choose MODIFY TUNE. then scroll down to the Power Enrichment parameter and select that by pressing the center button.

then select the 2-4k RPM range by pressing the center button again. then to make it leaner at WOT in that rpm range, move the slider to the left. to make it richer, move it to the right. so, to bring up the AFR to the 12.8, you want to make it leaner. I would just do it a couple percent at a time, and then log it to see where it's at. so for starters, set it to -2%.

after you move it to -2%, press the center button to save the setting, answer yes to the "are you sure?" question, then select the 4-7k rpm range and make the same adjustment to that one.

after that setting is saved like you did before, press the ESC button to back out of that parameter and then it will ask you if you want to install the tune now. Select YES and you're on your way!

So whenever a tuner leans out the a/f its only for wot? Normal cruising always goes to 14.7:1? Isn't that way to lean? Sorry for the questions but that is a surprise to me. Thanks for your reply Lew! :D

yes - only for WOT, yes always goes to 14.7, no not too lean for normal driving/cruise.

anyway... yeah, for normal driving/cruising, the ECM will always keep the AFR at 14.7 - that's what it uses the fuel trims for - those fuel trims are actually showing you how much fuel the ECM is adding/subtracting in order to keep the AFR at 14.7.

And yes, when a tuner leans out the AFR, they're doing it for WOT performance - since again, at normal driving the computer is going to adjust the fuel trims to keep the afr at 14.7.

At WOT, the fuel trims are not used - the ECM uses the PE (power enrichment) fueling table instead - which contains static values. so by adjusting those values, we are able to lean out / richen up the WOT fueling.
