U7137 Time & Distance Datalogging Request

U7137 Time & Distance Datalogging Request
I looked at the Trinity's features, and it says the Trinity can log 0- 60 mph times and 1/4 mile times:
"Virtual Dragstrip-computes 1/4 mile, 1/8 mile, 0-60, and 0-100 track times. Option to start from a reaction tree or once accelerator is engaged"
could this feature be incorporated into a U7137 Crom, please? I would be willing to pay a reasonable fee for this.
other U7137 owners would probably like to have this too.
I am tired of using a Superchips Flashpaq 3815 to record 0- 60 mph & 1/4 mile times. it would be nice if I could use my U7137 instead.

You could log the 0-60 easy enough with the 7137 and a computer today, 1/4 may be a little difficult to pull out unless you know you'r approx speed @ 1320'. I don't know if there is a way to calc distance with the standard values.

you would have to log speed, then use a stopwatch to time the log while watching the log. tolerances would creep in. something like the Trinity does would be more accurate.
there is no PID to log with the U7137 that I know of that would calculate time.

Pretty sure a few people have created apps that can do this in excel already...

don't get a clear idea from that topic of how to calculate 0- 60 or 1/4 mile times from a datalog.

TTDyno trial version was interesting, so I got the full version. neat program! need to do a new datalog with precise notes of Baro, Temp & Humidity at the time of the run, and do the run in 3rd only.
took a guess at weather stats on a recent log. resulting chart is in the ballpark for my mods:
RWHP:

FWHP @ 20% drivetrain loss:

FWHP #'s may be a bit low, as many Hemi Rams have shown 22- 25% drivetrain loss, so actual FWHP #'s may be higher than the chart.
RWHP #'s should very close to what is being put to the ground.

figured this out: "Engine Runtime" PID shows time in a log, so that + MPH PID = info needed to calculate 0- 60 runs and 0- to any speed runs.white_lightning wrote: unless I missed something, the U7137 logs speed, but not time.

Set up the datalogger to read out your mph and tps and along with any other parameters you're interested in.
Perfom a 0-60 (or 0-100 or 40-60 or whatever) pass.
Calculate your time by reading the timer on the datalogger (its at the top of the screen) and the mph/tps start and finish.
I'm not sure if that approach is precise in absolute values but it should serve the purpose for comparative data analysis. In other words, give you a way to see any differences between tunes, weather, gas, tires, etc.

that should work. write down the time your vehicle starts to move and subtract that from the time your vehicle gets to 60, 100 or whatever mph you want to figure a 0- X? mph time for.2010RAMRT wrote:Will this work? -

^^ that works good, use it all of the time, the time PUD is plenty accurate enough.
