I have a new '11 Tahoe with the 5.3 engine. There is only one thing that I hate about the truck, and that is the stupid AFM. I can't stand the vibration and resonance that I get from it shifting into V4 mode when coasting and in low speed operation around town.
I want to buy the Diablo Trinity T1000 - but the ONLY thing I want to do is disable AFM. I don't want to mess with anything else, as the truck drives perfectly fine except for AFM. Is that possible, to just change that one parameter without loading an entire tune?

you can just modify the factory tune and disable the DOD....

Ok, thanks. Sorry to be such a noob, but a couple quick questions:
1. Is just disabling AFM/DOD difficult?
2. If I am just disabling that one parameter, do I have to leave the Trinity Sport module plugged in all the time, or is it a one time plug-in, load the tune, and unplug type of deal?
3. Any chance of me messing up my GM warranty by doing this?

Thanks again. I live in the eastern panhandle of WV, near MD and VA. I noticed there is a Diablo dealer in Frederick MD and one in Dulles, VA - do they simply sell the devices, or would they help with loading the tune as well?

not sure... you'd have to call 'em and ask....
but you should really learn to do it yourself, since you'll be the one that has to restore the original backup stock tune file to the truck before going to the dealer, and then reinstalling the tune again after...

It looks like the Trinity is the only programmer that will work for the '11 Tahoe right now. Will the lower priced Predator model be updated in the near future to support the '11 Tahoes?
Really since the only thing I want to do is disable AFM, no sense in spending a bunch of money on a $600 tool if a $300 tool can do the same thing....

what would be the benefits of this kind of setup? Does gonna consume less fuel without compromising its power while running on 4 cylinders?
