Shift Points
So my pred. for my 2006 Ram 1500 Hemi is
having some hard shifts. Is this bad for the tranny?
And where do i go to customize the shifts?
Also how do I increase the throttle response..

RE: Shift Points
unless your truck is banging into gear really hard, enjoy the firm shifts.
fast, firm shift = less clutch slippage, which = longer clutch life.
shift points can be adjusted in "modify tune", same for throttle response. you need 9r06 or later Crom to have throttle adjustment.

Re: RE: Shift Points
there are some good improvements to be made once you understand how the trans tables work.julan wrote:I usually prefer not to adjust the tranny
ask FPSeth (CMR tuner at Federal Performance) what he thinks of my trans tuning ability.
I am not claiming to be a trans tune expert, but I understand shift tables pretty well, and am learning how to adjust the tq converter and tq modulation for better results.

the '07 Rams I have trans tuned like the way their trans shifts better with my tranny tune than stock tranny tune.lxman1 wrote:Usually don't need to adjust on the 06-up

I'm running White Lightning's tcm custom tune.My truck (since new) has never shifted as good as it does now.His tuning is Awesome. He even took care of a problem i was having with my new high stall torque converter. The truck is so much more enjoyable to drive now.One of the best mod's i've done.(Blow's the Sonnax away)Thank's again Dave.
