Problems with Predator on 2006 GTO - CAGS and Version Update

Hi,

I have a 2006 Pontiac GTO with the LS2 engine, 6 speed manual transmission. Modifications on the car include Volant Cool Air Intake and cat-back Corsa Sport Exhaust.

I bought a new Diablosport Predator from Marylandspeed.com a couple of weeks ago (Part: u7191gm_E40, Version: v.8r07). I have installed the Diablotune into my car.

I am still getting the CAGS restriction on my car. The idiot light comes on and the transmission gate is blocked. In all honesty, CAGS doesn't really bother me on my car. I usually drive with a heavier throttle and wind up a little higher in first gear, so I only notice it rarely, when I am driving slowly.

My first problem is that I would like to get rid of the CAGS. I don't want to have to do custom tune modifications for something that should already be done with the Diablotune program. Could there be something wrong with my Predator?

My second issue is that if the Diablotune did not eliminate the CAGS skip-shift, how can I be sure that the car is benefiting from the tune. The history on the Predator does in fact say that the Diablotune has been loaded into my car. I want to make sure my car is getting the most out of the Predator tune.

Thirdly, I know there has been a new updated revision for my Predator (even though I just bought mine). Is there a need to have my Predator updated to the newest revision? If I should update my Predator, where can I see specific instructions guiding a person through hooking up their Predator to a computer, downloading the new revision, etc.

Dean, this is the first time I have heard of this issue on this revision, but I would suggest you update before we try anything else.

Revision update instructions are available on every download page.
Select downloads then select part number U7191. You will be taken directly to the U7191 downloads page.
Scroll to the bottom and you will find the update instructions.

Remember to restore your backup before updating the tool.
