u7170 update

Post by ppoirier »

Hi Mike, I have a predator u7170 that is running 8r03. When I try liking with my trucks ecu I get the infamous vehicle not in database message with a call id of vnaa9s4. I know that you are updating this unit. Do you think it will be ready today. Thanks, any info would be great.

8r03?.......i tried the 8r01 with horrible results and was able to go back to the 7r19dz until a new update was developed. 19dz has a horrible flatspot in the throttle from 1/4 on in all tunes (manual trans).......8r01 was a joke........still waiting for a decent update........ready to bail ........maybe i should have chipped.........pretty sure that the ad for diablo didn't include" works good if you drive easy, but has a bad throttle surge.......but don't worry........we are working on it"........i appreciate everything diablo has done to make it better, but we are almost at strike 3 and still waiting for a decent update to fix the throttle surging.........

Not sure where mike is going with this but i just wanted to ask you is the CAL-ID you posted is from your truck {VNAA9S4} which i belive is not suported on the 8R01 but should be in the 8r03, however that CAL-ID is for a late 2000 AUTOMATIC truck not a manual and the 19DZ should work real good with this CAL-ID, if your tuck is MANUAL it should have a CAL -ID like VOAA8Q4 if is a
99-00 manual and the 19DZ those have a problem with either 60 or the 85hp with FLAT spot, lets make sure you have the correct CAL-ID in your truck, if you need more help you can e-mail me at [email protected] i know they are try to work all the bugs out so STAY TUNE for the update thanks
