SHIFT PRESSURE ON CHEVROLET Z71 SILVERADO

Post by 2000CHEVYZ71 »

I HAVE DIABLOSPORT PREDATOR GM GAS 99-02 BIOS V-6.01 ON MY 2000 CHEVROLET SILVERADO Z71 5.3.
MY QUESTION IS HOW CAN I GET THE SHIFT PRESSURE DOWN ON MY TRANSMISSION? RIGHT KNOW I HAVE THE PERFORMANCE 93 TUNE ON MY TRUCK AND THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTS REALLY HARD AND I CAN'T SEEM TO GET IT TONED DOWN. I HAVE ALSO HEARD THAT THE TRANSMISSION'S IN THE SILVERADO'S BUILD UP PRESSURE AND THAT WILL MAKE IT SHIFT HARD. IS THAT TRUE?

modify the tune and change the shift pressure (or may be called line pressure)... in the tunes, I believe it's 20% higher than stock, so when you modify the tune, set the pressure to -20% for starters, and that should be around the stock setting...

see if you like it back that way.. if not, modify the tune again, then add some more back in if you want...

MonteSS he's got to get the program corrected like I did. It's the hard shifting issue with the v2.xx U7198. Walk him through it, why don't ya...

well, can't really walk him through it since I didn't do the custom tune for yours.. not sure what was done to correct yours... that was something that mike/johan did... so, I can't really walk through how or what was done....

all I know is that I see they had to do a custom tune for you... and I'm not doing it unless the tool gets upgraded to the new version tool on the 9rXX revisions... I'm done doing custom tunes for the old version 2.xx tools - it's a pain in the ass to deal with - and being a consultant and doing custom tuning as a side business on my own, I can do/say that :)

so like mike said, get that old tool upgraded to the new version tool, it will be better off...
