Could not get DataViewer to talk to Predator and car

Hi

I downloaded the DataViewer to my laptop, which runs Window7; the Predator is for a 2006 Ford GT. After I plugged in the Predator to the OBDII port and connected the predator to the laptop, via a new
Serial to USB cable, this is what I've experienced:

1. The predator screen shows "Tool is under remote control"
2. Under Control Panel of my laptop, under Hardware, it indicates "cable is working properly"
3. Bottom right corner on laptop screen shows "Connected"
4. The laptop screen shows "acquiring vehicle......".

That is all I got!! It doesn't look like the DataViewer recognizes my FGT or the Predator connected to the car.

Then, when I tried to load and review the logged data saved in the Predator when my tuner did the dyno run, I get a message: "the problem reported was commend not supported"

Then, when I clicked the Acquire Car Info icon on the tool bar, the laptop screen shows "acquiring vehicle info......"

Basically, the components are not communicating... Please advise.

The U7150 is not supported by DV for live streaming.

You can log to the tool then upload the log to CMR DAT.

Thx for the reply. Does it mean i wont be abe to log data using CV with the U7150? And that, I can't view the logged data stored in the Tool either... Would you let me know what is a CMR DAT and it is something I can download from Diablo? Sorry, I'm a bit tech-challenged. Thx

you canlog to the tool, then upload it to the PC using CMR DAT.

Once it is uploaded, you can play the log back on CMR DAT (older software) or on Dataviewer 3.3

Ok, I'll try the CMR DAT.

You said I can also play the log back with DataViewer 3.3. Is it the older version of 3.3.0.8.exe? I tried with the 3.3.0.8 to play back the logged data from the u7150, and that's when I got "the problem reported was the commend not supported". If the 3.3 is the older version and I can playback from it, would you also provide me a link, as I don't see 3.3exe on the site. Thx!!

did you upload the log to the PC using CMR DAT?

DAtaviewer will not upload the file from the tool to the PC.
