U7186 update problems

Using a u7186 on my 2007 duramax LBZ (Classic bodystyle). It had Rev20 on it. I wanted to be able to check balance rates so I tried to updated to 9r15. It got to ~8k bits and froze. I tried 9t13f and it got to ~7k bits and froze. Then tried 9r11 and it loaded on the tuner, installed in the truck, but the truck would only start and then shut right back down.

I then installed 9r08 on the tuner, and installed it this morning when I got to work (had no more time last night). This afternoon, it started, pulled out of the parking space, but I noticed the exhaust note sounded a little different. When I pulled out of the parking lot and hit the gas it felt down on power.....almost stock, then I got a check engine light and a message center flashing brake system fault. Pulled codes and I cant for the life of me remember what the # was, but it was a ECM/PCM fault.

I reinstalled the factory tune and drove home with no problems. So now I sit here wondering WTF is the matter, and needing a tune that will work with my truck. Hell, Id be happy to have R20 back, just so I can have my horsepower again.

Ok, that worked.....now any ideas as to why 9r08 wouldnt work and it gave me a brake failure message? I attached the one I downloaded here off the forum. Is there a problem with it and the 07 lbz's? It seems ridiculous to me that my tuner (even though it is a little old), cant be updated beyond a 2007 update.

If it cant, guess I wasted my $30 on the computer interface kit

Like I said the whole reason for updating was so I could view balance rates, etc.

No, I cant imagine whats up with that, I dont recall have any such issues with 9r08, and anyone that has an older tool that cant update to the latest, we always put them on 9r08 with no complaints...

can you post up 9r08 again, maybe there is something wrong with the way it uploaded or downloaded, and Ill give it a shot again this weekend.
