Axle ratiio question
I need to ask a stupid question, in order to change the axle ratio of my 2010 Challenger SE do I need to get a new rear end installed in my car, then I change the ratio setting with my diablo to match the gear in my car, or do I just change the ratio in my diablo and it changes the ratio in the car automatically? Thanks!
RE: Axle ratiio question
Seriously? You need to change the gears first. If you just change it with the tuner you'll mess everything up. Speedo, odometer, trans won't shift, and it'll go into limp mode.
Sorry, but theres no way to electronically change the number of teeth on the ring and pinion gears. If there was a button to call the axle fairy, to change them, that would be awesome, but I don't know of one.

Thats why I said it was a stupid question, I thought maybe since you can change the firmness of the trans shift, maybe you can change the axle ratio, computers can do wonders these days!!!
RE: Axle ratiio question
I wish it was that simple. Then I wouldn't have to drop $2k to get a new differential for my V.

Yeah it does. This thing is screaming for 3.73s. I feel like I got jipped by GM, giving the automatics 3.23s. Come on Mike, you know me by now. Everything has to be overkill.

RE: Axle ratiio question
how much boost are you running now?
Last pulley/tuned V I drove was begging for traction at all speeds up to about 60 MPH...I can't imagine making that worse with a gear swap

RE: Axle ratiio question
Right now, 13.5psi. When we swap the upper, it will be around 17.5-18psi. It actually hooks a lot better then I thought it would. Once it gets into like 3rd gear, its fine.
