inTune in recovery mode

Post by MilSpec_1341 »

I recently took the tune off of my truck to test the inTune out on my girlfriends jeep. I only plugged it in and it told me try and update the tuner something about the vin on her jeep. Its and 10 wrangler sport unlimited 3.8L. Well I unplugged it and 2 days later I tried to put the tune back on my truck. It worked fine then when I tried to put the 87 tune on it went through the steps, backed up my pcm and tcm, then it just turned off and rebooted. It came up saying it was in recovery mode and needed to put the original back up on. The pcm went on and then the tcm tried. It told me to turn the key off and press the check. As soon as I press the check it turns off and reboots again. Ive tried closing everything and starting over but it pops back up saying in recovery mode. Sorry to make this so long Ive tried calling but was on hold for 15 minutes each time and just gave up. Ive even tried plugging it in to the computer to see if it needed updated and it still pops up in recovery mode and wont let me do anything at all. The truck still runs and shifts just fine as if I never took anything off or tried to put anything on though. Oh and its a 2004 2500 4x4 with the hemi. Any help or advice from others that experienced it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Had a similar problem with mine. You are going to have to send it to Diablosport and let them fix the issue..

Would I contact tech support over the phone first to figure out who and where to send it to then?

Well I managed to finally get ahold of someone today. They helped me go through a forced calibration then had me hook it up to my computer to update it. I then went back to my truck started to put the tune on and when it got to the tcm tune it had me press the ok button once the key was off. Then it shutoff rebooted and went back to recovery mode.

Mike
so far I have been very happy with my INTUNE.
Today though I set back to Factory to run some dynos vs caned tune and after restoring the factory tune successfully,
The Intune reset and then freezes and wont go past the rotating circle as it boots up.
Is there a way to reset the unit?
I would hope not to lose my Data logs though!!!
Why Is It So Much Fun Getting to the next Red Light Before the next Guy???!!!

if it will not reboot, fill out the rma request form and we'll get it taken care of.
