New Trinity Won't Let Us Select a Tune

Hi Mikel;

I just installed and finally got around to reading everything I could about interfacing the Extreme Power Puck and my new Trinity 1000. I did receive the plug from your sales dept for the PP hook up, with help from the good guys at Parleys. Before I went any further with the PP or EGT hook up at my mechanics shop to interface both to the 1000, I tried to install my first tune and got a surprise result.

In my attempt to install a tune I got blocked as the unit gave me a message that a DS Demo Tune occurred with another vehicle, which has to be restored before i may proceed. VIN and everything else is in order and it let me select gauges for my vehicle type. The tool will not marry to my vehicle and it is new out of the box.

I read through the forums and only saw one other post about the problem an not much else. Is there a reset or ??

I am stuck again! Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

heres the fix:


options/change vehicle type/select DEMO.

go to performance, select original backup, let tool go through its motions, then go back to options/change vehicle type, and select your truck, and just like that, it will work
