Shift Firmness

When raising the shift firmness does the device increase it only during the shift(either at part throttle or WOT or both) or is it always higher? I want to make sure the changes will not negatively affect my transmission by keeping line pressure higher all the time and not only during the shift.

WOT changes the firmness for WOT all the time and the other changes the firmness for any other peddle position. I am happy with just the firm setting, it gives my a little chirp into second at WOT and it has a clean shift at all other peddle positions.

Thanks, but that wasn't my question. I want to know if when you turn up shift firmness does the Diablo software increases line pressure all the time accordingly or only increases it DURING the shift?
