is 91 oct tune enough?
I have a 2011 Dodge Challenger R/T 5.7 with a K&N CAI and a Magnaflow exhaust kit, and I am new to the trinity and I was wondering if running the 91 oct tune will be enough or do i need to make adjustments to it, today I only had about 30 mins to play around with the car and after the tune was installed the car sounded ok and all and i noticed a huge difference in throttle responce, i'm just wondering if with running these mods it's going to cause damage in the future if i don't make some adjustments? any help would be appreciated!
Re: is 91 oct tune enough?
I run the MPG tune om 87 octane with a few mods:
1) rise the rev limiter to 6,000
2) change the speed limiter to 166 (changed for the Texas Mile)
3) adjust fan temps for 180 stat
4) input tire size
I run the 91 tune with 93 octane gas with the same changes as the MPG tune. But, I also data log this tune to see if there is knock retard or timing gets pulled at WOT.
I ran 152 mph on the MPG at the Mile with 93 octane gas and ran 153.9 on the 91 tune with 93 octane gas.
