can't seem to get tune right, please advise...
i have tinkered and toyed with my 2012 chrysler srt8 equipped with a LMI legmaker cold air intake and an 87mm ported trottle body, i have ran the tune 50 different ways, I only run BP 93 octane gas in it, at this point I am at the best that I have been but I am concerned about the amount of tinkering I had to do to your diablo 93 tune, I had to add gas to all three peramiters, low range got 5%, mid range got 7%, and high range got 6%, I also had to turn back the timing -1 on all three peramiters to get rid of the LT knk, but I still have 5.5 kr fuel and 5.0 knk st, any suggestions, the car is definitaly faster, but hate that I have to turn back timing to get rid of knk LT, what would you suggest, I tried loading the 91 tune and the knock was off the charts, I thnk I had 13.0 knk ST and 6.5 knk LT, so I never even attempted to adjust this tune as I felt the numbers were high, please advise, My car has about 7500 miles on it and is taken well care of, but I do drive hard and fast, so performance and engine wear are an issue with me, let me know what peramiters are important and where I should be at with them, and how i should adjust things like throttle boost, MDS, ect.

having to tinker with the tune is common on most any late model vehicle, especially with al the build tolernaces, and fuel variances that are out there...there is no harm in adding fuel till the cows come home if needed

mds is the 4 cylinder mode.
throttle booster allows you to adjust the level of throttle responce, how much is entirely up to you.
Thanks

Maybe try mapping the stock tune I bet it has st/kr also. Do you have winter blend gas where you live?SRTGR8T wrote:i have tinkered and toyed with my 2012 chrysler srt8 equipped with a LMI legmaker cold air intake and an 87mm ported trottle body, i have ran the tune 50 different ways, I only run BP 93 octane gas in it, at this point I am at the best that I have been but I am concerned about the amount of tinkering I had to do to your diablo 93 tune, I had to add gas to all three peramiters, low range got 5%, mid range got 7%, and high range got 6%, I also had to turn back the timing -1 on all three peramiters to get rid of the LT knk, but I still have 5.5 kr fuel and 5.0 knk st, any suggestions, the car is definitaly faster, but hate that I have to turn back timing to get rid of knk LT, what would you suggest, I tried loading the 91 tune and the knock was off the charts, I thnk I had 13.0 knk ST and 6.5 knk LT, so I never even attempted to adjust this tune as I felt the numbers were high, please advise, My car has about 7500 miles on it and is taken well care of, but I do drive hard and fast, so performance and engine wear are an issue with me, let me know what peramiters are important and where I should be at with them, and how i should adjust things like throttle boost, MDS, ect.

I did map the stock tune, and it does have kr and st, I am not sure if we have winter blend gas, I'm here in Detroit, Michigan, I figured the kr and st was because the ported throttle body and cold air intake that was causing this, how much kr and st is ok, or am I supposed to be eliminating it all?

I would think a wide band would help you tune that car safely. I don't see anybody mentioning this but I was under the impression it was a necessity for safe tuning.
