Xpipe w/ high flow cats=Check engine light

Post by Darkside323 »

Hello hope everyone is having a great week. My car has the following mods. 2007 GT 500 with K&N intake and Bassani axle backs and i'm running a Trinity with the K&N 91 tune. So this past weekend I installed a Bassanni X pipe w/ high flow cats. Car sounds awesome but a couple of days later a CEL appeared. I reinstalled the the tune to make sure everything was correct because I wondered if the muffler shop had disconnected the battery but the CEL codes came back the next day. Today when I got home I installed the stock tune then went ahead and choose my vehicle + trans and went ahead and installed the K&N 91 tune. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the CEL does not come back.......But what do you guys think? Will I have to get some sort of costume tune? Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks and have a good day.

So I would need to take my car to a custom tuner that works with Diablo software? What if I were to change pulley to a vmp 2.6 and upload one of the other canned tuned geared to a different pulley. Would that solve the lean issue or whatever is causing the codes? Is there anything that Diablo can do on their end? My car is basically stock except for K & N intake and now the x-pipe with high flow cats. Thanks and have a good day.

It needs to be custom tuned becaus ethe "high flow cats" don't quite pass the stringent testing of the factory calibration so it's needs to be custom tuned for them. Yes you will need to get in touch with a CMR tuner/dealer to help you and then you'll be good.
