inTune I1000-DCX Problems (2012 Ram)

Post by peteeod »

Recieved my I1000DCX yesterday........

Completed the initial software update following the "quick start" guide instructions, no issues there and everything seemed to have worked correctly.

Out to the truck to install the tune and enjoy the excitement.........fail!!!
Connected tuner to the truck, i get a message saying that I need to check for a calibration update.........didn't i just have this thing connected to my pc and updated????

Back in the house, hooked to the computer and now we have and box that says contact tech support, calibration........ Calibration ID 68064929AC Status:Error

HELP PLEASE

"please post a copy of the info.xml file from the intune drive" How and where do I get this info?
I plug it into the truck and it says it might need a cal id update, then I plug it into my pc and it says, Failed to copy driver file. If your not logged in as computer Administrator, please navigate to the in Tune CD Rom drive, right click in Tune.exe and choose run as Administrator. If this does not solve the issue please contact tech support for help with this matter.... Well when I right click on it it doesn't give me a choose run as Administrator. Have to tell ya NOT IMPRESSED with this product what so ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had a few issues with my 12 ram also, but I was able to load the canned 91 tune. Haven't tried changing anything because I'm worried about more issues popping up.

I'm having all kinds of issues right now and of course when I have time to work on it (the weekend) tech support is unavailable. Plugged into windows 8 64 bit pc. Went by quick guide and seemed to update fine. Went to register and there wasn't even a pull down for Ram or dodge so registration failed. Plugged into truck and said I need to update calibration files. Ever since plugging back in all it keeps saying is update failed- call support. Great.

Ive read every post on here and see people posting info file. Hell one doesn't even show up in my diablo so I have nothing to post. Right now I have a useless- expensive trinket. Time on my hands and no one to call. Of course come Monday it wil be the other way around. Any thoughts or ideas?

For registration just pick one. I used a chevy. It will make NO difference when it uploads the latest software. Start there & see if that helps!

Yeah I read that but now I can't even get back to a registration screen. Any time I run auto run it cycles awhile and tells me to call support or unplug and try again. I'm only about 20 feet from the river. I think I can throw this bitch in from here. I'm pretty computer savvy and I play with engine management software all day long and this thing has me beating my head against the wall. Can't install drivers, can't register, cant do f all.

The exact same thing happened to me. Paid a lot of money and it doesn't work. It seemed to have updated OK but when I tried to load a tune in my truck it wanted to send me back to the PC to calibrate. Now all I get is error messages and call support. Well guess what? NO support on weekends. With this being a new product, Diablo should be all over this and considering so many of us waited so long for the DCX, it should at least be right. For the guy who lives by the river, sbwrench, I'll mail you mine. :blowup:

I'm having the EXACT problem with my '11 1500 and I'm really f'ing irritated too. Pretty expensive paperweight right now!

I attached to computer, it went through the update on it's own. The device even said "updating". Waited til it was done and went outside to plug into the truck. I get "PCM CALIBRATION FOR ************ MIGHT NEED AN UPDATE. CHECK FOR A CALIBRATION UPDATE? " x or checkmark.

I fumbled around a little and nothing. Figured I'd take it back in and hook up to the computer again. This time I can't get it to update at all! Eventually gives me an error code: "AN ERROR OCCURED. INFO: STATUS: ERROR PLEASE CONTACT TECH SUPPORT FOR HELP"

I called tech support and they're not open on the weekends when most people are doing things like this! Really?! A new product with some obvious problems and no one around to help? I'm supposed to call Monday during business hours? Guess what? I have a JOB! I can't call during your business hours!

Really, really irritated with your product and lack of support.
Since we appear to be beta testing this for you, can I get a fix and then a refund or discount too? I don't seriously expect this, but it's what I feel like. I was all excited only to be ......... well, pissed off. :evil:

If you can start your truck, you're doing better than some on here. I think they pushed this product out to match BD's item.

I'm having issues with my F150 and I have job too, I cant believe no one is around to help out, total BS. Anyway, the only problem with swaping codes is each of your VIN#'s are in there soo, I'm not sure that will work either. Here is mine "for comparison:

<?xml version="1.0"?>
-<tool_info>
<main svn="5736" sw_rev="1r03c" full_version="InTune-1r03c 01/24/2013 03:08:38 PM"/>
<registration status="1" sn="IGN8O5E-2"/>
<cal_id PCM="BBHM1E3"/>
<restore bc="7" vin="1FTFW1E69CFA95400" id="0"/>
<system_db vin="1r01c" dtc="1r01a" info="1r01b"/>
<db pid="1r01a" tune="1r01b" mfr="DCX"/>
<db pid="1r01a" tune="1r01j" mfr="FORD"/>
<db pid="1r01a" tune="1r01m" mfr="GM"/>
<license tuned="1" avail="1"/>
<updates count="18"/>
<oem tool_oem="DIABLO"/>
</tool_info>

Now last night I gave up "after 30 some hours" and left it plugged in and the update count was 10 (3rd row from bottom)

Last night:

<?xml version="1.0"?>
<tool_info>
<main svn="5736" sw_rev="1r03c" full_version="InTune-1r03c 01/24/2013 03:08:38 PM"/>
<registration status="1" sn="IGN8O5E-2"/>
<cal_id PCM="BBHM1E3"/>
<restore bc="7" vin="1FTFW1E69CFA95400" id="0"/>
<system_db vin="1r01c" dtc="1r01a" info="1r01b"/>
<db pid="1r01a" tune="1r01b" mfr="DCX"/>
<db pid="1r01a" tune="1r01j" mfr="FORD"/>
<db pid="1r01a" tune="1r01m" mfr="GM"/>
<license tuned="1" avail="1"/>
<updates count="10"/>
<oem tool_oem="DIABLO"/>
</tool_info>

It will do some crazy stuff if you plug it into your PC and start the updater and just walk, but my truck still is fixed and I can't reload the OE tune either.... :normal:
