Has anyone had issues with the Stabilitrack/traction control after installing the canned 87 octane tune? Randomly the DIC says service stabilitrack and then traction control is off. It seems to happen more often when a remote start is done and if it is hotter than usual outside (could just be a coincidence).
Thanks

Re: 2010 Silverado 87 Tune - Stabilitrack problems
I am running the same setup... (2010 silverado, 87 tune with remote start). I have not experienced anything out of the ordinary. The only thing I can think of is if the remote start is aftermarket, perhaps an installation related issue with that? It would be one difference between our vehicles. Aside from that, what Stabilitrack issues are you referring to? Just a DIC warning/light?
Does it still happen when returned to stock?
Does this happen when the vehicle is started by regular key and not remotely started. If it does happen on regular key, the remote starter is not involved with the issue.
Hope this helps...

This just happened to me! Did a preset tune and the Service Stabilitrack message showed up in the DIC and Traction Control is off. I have a 2008 Escalade ESV. I will restore my factory settings and see if it still occurs.

Re: 2010 Silverado 87 Tune - Stabilitrack problems
That has happened to me SEVERAL times. I'll tell you what else has happened twice now... My fob stopped working and I receieved a "service tire monitoring system" warning. The tire pressure indications would then be slashed out, not giving any readings.
I have a 2011 GMC Sierra. Luckily I am still under warranty. I took the truck in and they replaced the module that recieves the wireless signal. All was good to go when I left the dealership. When I got home, I proceeded to load a tune with some adjustable parameters I'd changed... When the tune began to load, low and behold, service tire monitoring system showed up. When the tune was done loading, the fob was inop again!!! I think the tuner is blowing the module in the passenger door that receives the wireless signal from the fob.
Whenever the stabilitrak signal goes off, it's always been at the beginning of a TCM tune load.
On 2 occasionas I have seen "service brakes soon". Both times that went away after the tune was done loading.

yes, during the tune flashing to the ecm and tcm, messages like that on the dash are normal, no worries there...
after tunes are installed and you turn the key off, remove it, put it back in and start up the vehicle, you should be fine and good to go - no messages...

Any complaints about the fob being inoperative after a tune and the module in the passenger door needing replaced?06MonteSS wrote:yes, during the tune flashing to the ecm and tcm, messages like that on the dash are normal, no worries there...
