Since October 2012, DiabloSport has announced the availability of +2011 tuning but till now they are not able to resolve the RPM issue of 5.7 for +2011 !!
is it really a big issue that DS supporters are not able to do anything to this point !!
Customers are expecting more attention from DS.
it's really shame on you.
But I think its going to take some time but they will eventually firgure it out. Ive logged a couple tunes that im expecting got into the hands at Diablo. Lets just say it is in fact rasing the RPM up a bit im 284rpm over the stock 5600 setting. But id rather shift at 6100. If you command it to shift at 6000 it actually shifts at a lower RPM than if you command it to shift at 5800. My 6000 setting was shifting at 5814 and my 5800 setting is shifting at 5884.
Im thinking its in the template or software and we will have to do an update and it will fix it. If it were an issue were Chrysler said no shifting at high rpms, I think that wouldve been brought up by Diablo in the very begining. I mean CMR allow so many parameters changed in the transmission I couldnt believe they said NO to raising the shift RPM.
Its gonna take some time, but Id rather them fix it right and not have issue than rushing them for a fix and having more issues
But Im there with ya guys. I want to shift at 6100 and IDK if I can make a 12sec pass shifting at 5884 like i am
Oh I compelty understand. Its been really a bummer not being able to get the extra RPM out of the motor like it should. Couple things I dont understand is why this issue wasnt caught at the factory before launch. This kind of problem shouldve easily been caught in BETA testing. Changing shift RPM is something that everyone does when they tune cars or trucks.
But what to remember is although its taking time let them get it right. Having them rush into something and possibly not working right could cause several issue and or transmission failure. Id rather have them take their time and have the problem fixed correctly than rushing into something that could cause more problems
Aaaaah Let them hire me for a month and I will solve all their issues!!
again, this is not my concern .. am concerning about the feedback from DS .. they never said that we are working to resolve .. all what they said .. NO ETA !!
WE .. as a customer .. we don't know that they will resolve it in future or no !! this is what we understand from their reply !!
Then you picked a cam thats way too big. With a cam on my SRT8 I used the stock 6100rpm shift points and it ran great. No need to go any higher. Probably could have gone even lower. The 5.7s heads don't flow nearly as well as the 6.1s (ported especially), so going much beyond the stock shift points is probably going to cause the motor to fall on its face.
Actually I thought the Eagle heads flow pretty well, actually better than previous 5.7 heads. Might not flow as mich as the apache heads but Cars are making mug power using Comp cams and they ate shifting over 6k. Most truck guys shift at 6100-6200 and run really impressive times doing so.
I ran the Comp 268 with Superior/GSM Heads, shifting at 6100, and ran 11.91 in a 5300lb Jeep. Power dropped off above that, so shifting higher would have made it slower.
