Stock intake

Post by Northy »

Greetings Diablosport members

I'm new to the forum and just used the trinity for the first time... I am running it on a 2012 ram 1500 hemi cc with a dual exit magnaflow cat back

I have two questions

Is there a big difference between 91 vs mpg booster flash .... Currently I always use 91 even when it was stock tune... The hemi always ran better with high octane compared to 87 ...

Second. ... Does anyone run those flashes with out a cai ... Or is the stock intake adequate for the flashes

Thank you

Kris

The 91 octane tune is a performance tune whereas the mpg booster has no performance benefit. That tune is strictly for gaining mpg

The stock intake on the Ram is more than adequate. It flows better than most of the aftermarket ones.

i got an 08 ram 5.7 cc/sb cat back exhaust stock intake factory 20's, i ran the mileage and avr. 14mpg for 5 months then switched to 91 and i was running e-20 and seen an avr. of 16mpg and no im not the best on the throttle, the best i got was 18mpg. and no it doesnt have the flex-fuel motor but i ran e-20 in my 1995 chevy 1500 and is still running fine so dont think its the end of the world to run ethanol!
