Procharged D1 2008 Jeep GC SRT8
Predator U7135, v.9r30
I have a custom tune from Johan that I have installed and everything runs like a top.
Purchased an unmarried Trinity and want to un marry the Predator and marry the Trinity so I can sell the Predator.
When I attempt to load the backup base tune from the Predator, it does everything as expected until the very last step where the Predator tells you to "Turn Key Off". I do so yet the Predator shows that "Turn Key Off" for as long as 5 minutes and never gets to the final step (IIRC) where it tells you to "Turn Key On" and ths completes the job. I know that the base tune has been written to my PCM by simply starting the Jeep...it runs like crap and nearly drowns from the 80# injectors...lol. Problem is that the Predator thinks it never completed the return to stock...shows that the Johan toon as the last written still and when I replug the Predator in and power it up, it states "The last tune did not finish. The original will be restored."
So I then reload the Johan blower toon and the Jeep runs perfectly but I still get the same hanging on the "Turn Key Off" screen. So in essence, it seems that the Predator is indeed writing the tunes but just won't acknowledge the fact that it has completely finished the task. Anything I can try?

Re: Problem Unmarrying Predator...
Diablosport guys - Thanks to Mike's post (and a few others) on the red board, I am fixed up and good to go! It was a simple matter of turning off the automatic rain sensing wiper function on the wiper stalk. Now unmarried and have already loaded my boost toon from my new-to-me Trinity. Hopefully this thread will help others as well. Thanks again!

dumb "feature" anyway... if someone doesn't know enough to turn on the wipers, they shouldn't be driving hahaha... fricken dodge...

Re: Problem Unmarrying Predator...
thats not a dumb feature, dumb features are things like adaptive cruise control, cause you know, people are just driving into the car in front of them all the time on the highway. Then there is lane assist. Really?06MonteSS wrote:dumb "feature" anyway... if someone doesn't know enough to turn on the wipers, they shouldn't be driving hahaha... fricken dodge...
At least GM handles these features OK, I drove a Charger last week that had all these 'keep you from killing yourself' features, and honestly, the first time the FCW went off, I almost crashed trying to figure out why in the world the car was yelling at me and flashing red lights in my face!!
