Why is it not possible to scan trouble codes of any OBD2 car with a Predator tool? It seems like something that would be so simple to do. These tuners cost $400 and you can only use them on whatever make and model you buy them for.
I have 2 others cars and it would be nice to be able to use my Predator to scan and clear trouble codes on my other cars.

if you buy a FORD tool, it will only work for FORD vehicles, with the same OBD bus....
for instance, I have a 2006 Monte Carlo - these are OBDII with a CAN communication bus...
so my predator will scan ANY GM/Chevy that ALSO has a CAN bus.... but it will NOT scan a FORD...

Thats because it is simply a code scanner, not a tuner.
We build tuning tools that just so happen to also do diagnostics on the applications supported by that tool.
