vin mismatch problem when trying to reload a custom tune

Hi Guys,

I have an 05 gt that had a custom tune from the predator when I bought it. Everything was fine for about 2 1/2 years then I had to replace the battery. After replacing the battery the car had really rough starts. I had to stay on the gas to get it to start without dying on me and it would run rough for about 1 minute before i could let off the gas to get it to idle. I tried reinstalling the custom tune but stil lhad the issue so I backed up the original file and custom tune to my PC then updated the predator firmware from 8 r28 to 9 r09. I tried reloading the custom tune again and got a vin mismatch so I restored the original and tried again with the same thing. I read on another post that I may need to load a canned tune so the predator would download the orignal backup again and read the vin so I loaded the universal 85 mm maf tune as I have C&L cai. I then tried the custom tune again and still says vin mismatch. I have been getting lean codes and idle lower than expected errors along with the readiness test error. I think I can adjust the MAF curve a little for the lean errors and the readiness should take care of itself but I also have longtubes and offroad xpipe so I think I will need the custom tune to habdle the missing cats and O2s. Any way to try and get my custom tune back on there and if I manage that is there anything to check if I keep having the starting issues? Sorry for the long post and I hope you still check here even though these have been discontinued. I do not know who did the custom tune so I can't justtry to have them send it to me again. I can upload the original and the custom tune if you need.

load the canned tune, post the backup from the tool and the custom tune you are trying to load here please.

thanks for the response. After looking at the tunes on the PC in dsdownloader advanced it looks like I updated the tool then backed them up to the PC. Hopefully that didnt caus eany problems. I am trying to upload them and I can see them in DSdownloader but just trying to view while browsing the PC or with the attachment browser I cannot find the files. Any Ideas?

I called in and spoke with Vas, I think and he was able to check on my file and try to correct it. I will be loading it on the car in a few minutes to see if it resolves my problems. Thanks Guys
