Does Diablosport Listen?

Post by The_Hun »

Hey guys. I'm just wondering if anyone feels the same as I do. I find people are trying to make suggestions to help improve these tuners and diablosport always says they will consider this consider that yet they never do. Dodge guys have been asking for a simple disable daytime running lights ability for ages... yet never an update to give this option. I hate to say it but the bullydog has custom options like this. Such as keep your high beams on with fog lights. No such option on trinity.. clearly these options can be accessed. But why not with the trinity? Doesn't seem like too much to ask but it seems like our suggestions just get shrugged off.
Also maybe I'm confused with the terminology but why do I only have an option to set the up shifts of the truck? Why can I not customize how and when the truck downshifts? Maybe I'm missing something there.. another thing I would think is important is shouldn't there be tunes written based on which truck you have? Such as 3.91 gears vs 3.55 and so on?

Come on diablo help us out here! These tuners have great potential and for the money a couple of these basic options should not be ignored!

We've added countless things that end users asked for, its not fair to say we dont listen....

the quick adjust things require a LOT of work, its not nearly as simple as you make it seem unfortunately.
We also have some things that need to be fixed before we go adding new stuff.

Thanks

I understand they take work. But that is why people are paying a premium for the product. Now I am not a programmer by any means but again I know bullydog u can quickly cycle daytime running lights on and off etc. As well as the fog lights on with high beams. So I am sure your tech guys are savvy enough to do the same.

Its a difference of important stuff that has to get done versus crap that will get done if/when they feel like it. Right now, keeping cars from bricking is WAY more important than screwing with stupid DRLs and fog lights. Priorities. High priorities come first.

Besides that, why are you even comparing the Trinity to anything BullyDog puts out? Its not comparable. When BullyDog offers a way to do custom tuning, then you can compare them. Until then, they're just inferior poseurs. They have to offer dumb little changes because they can't offer the ones that matter.

I'm not a BD hater by any means. I even recommend them if theres nothing else available. But thats the key "if theres nothing else available". If there is, they're worth about as much as an ice cube in the North Pole in winter.

Well if they are having so many brick ing issues maybe they better check there crap out better.. and many many people have requested changes like drls and whatnot and basically get completely ignored. Who's to say what u want to do with your tuner is so much more important than other people's uses?
And not everyone has all day to sit in there car reading logs and data and tweaking tiny little numbers one at a time to see if it makes a difference. Sure it's a powerful tool. But the canned tunes are less than stellar and I've heard of people even losing power...
Also maybe they should only focus on a select number of vehicles instead of trying to tune every vehicles manufacturer. Probably why things like bricking are happening. Too much rushed out product with little testing.

Actually the bricking is due mostly to Chryslers encryption. Why don't you go tell them to stop encrypting their PCMs?

Who's to say whats more important? How would you feel if your car was sitting dead and they were fucking around trying to turn off somebodys DRLs? Common sense. Actually making cars work is far more important than bullshit stuff. A performance tuner is made for performance, not for other crap. If that crap gets done, consider it a bonus.

Hell il throw my comments in the fire here, I agree with mike that dlrs and the like aren't of up most importance. Should they come with time, yes, will they, more than likely. They are providing a service only 2 other companies provide, HP and SCT. Chryslers tuning is a shit show it takes time. But what really grind my gears is when you say they listen and are there but when there is a known issue of TCM failures that are causing trucks to be bricked, yet will not provide any updates or respond to any of the questions pertaining to it. Then on top of that still advertise that they are a re complete custom tuning solution of the specified vechiles that are a known problem. That is bull shit. And that is where i agree with the OP that Diablo doesnt listen.

I have to agree. My PCM was bricked on my Ram. Dealer said it was the TCM that caused it to be bricked. Interesting you said that. I returned the Diablo and got a SCT tuner that doesn't touch the "TCM". And the install went without issue. So, the TCM is the issue on the bricking IMHO. Has this been fixed yet?
