Unable to connect my predator to PC

Hi guys!

I purchased a diablosport predator unit (U7146) for my mustang gt 99

I´ve been trying to connect this thing for hours to my pc with no success....


Everytime i try to search for the tool on the DS software, it can´t find it, not manual, not auto.

I´m using a serial to usb connector and have read that drivers to make it work can be a pain in the ass, i´ve tried with almost every single driver available with no luck.

The COM port settings are ok, baud rate set to 115200, usb to serial available on COM2, drivers work fine.

What can i do????

could be a bad usb cable, seen that happen many many many times..

try a new cable..

I´ll try with another cable today, i hope i can finally update my tuner and be able to use the damn thing!

I´ve tried with 2 different cables and none of them work, i tried with a serial to serial cable and no go...

This is frustrating....

if it is serial to serial it has to be straight through.
If usb to serial be sure the driver is installed.

It's a straight trough serial

it wont find old 7rXX tools, you have to tell dsdl what com port it is on (legacy connect in options).

I tried that too and still the damn thing won´t work

I bought this thing used, i´m afraid i got an expensive paper weight....

Nothing works, i tried everything, from different cables to legacy mode, different drivers, different computers with different OS, and nothing works.

I´m trying to update the software and CROM file on the tool.
