Trinty concerns.

Post by lmarceaux »

Yes on my last post started off as would not take axle ratio, nor the tire size so the speedo remained off by 18 mph.
Was sent a downloaded tune from ya'll, see my "speedo off 18mph post". Now still off by 8-10 mph ,abs still coming on, and installed a MDI with laptop and test drove and the v8/v4 mode will not turn off even with it requested off. I have 2 trinty 1000,tried on several trucks 08-10 silverados same thing. All this started when I updated the old unit, and the new unit did the same out of the box I purchased last week, check and has latest update. I been running a shop for years, have several trucks for my own use work field work..I have recommended the trinty to all my customers, but all this started after new updates. I have never had problems in the last 3-4 years I have used these units. I have purchased the trinty so I could make my own adj. 2008 Silverado,4:56 axle,35 inch tires Trinty 1000.Please help.

there was a very specific issue for 08 trucks with params missing, but I have not seen or heard anything on any 09-10 models, what else did you test it on/

if you canload a tune to something and the tire/ear does not work, export the files andpost them here so we cna check it out please.

You gotta pay to play. $2500 isn't that much. Actually for mods it could be considered pocket change. Wait until you start spending $10-15k or more and still can't get everything dialed in right. Thats when it gets frustrating. :crashing:

mike , im ok with spending the money .. like cam, port and polished , pro-charger .. its the thiefs that dont care about mods and all they say is ya ,uh,thatll fit and thatll be $1999.99 for that order AND THEY HAVE NO CLUE . BOY do i get tired of the unexperienced on-line no it alls and the local exhaust , performance shops .... no dynos in Tucson,az , no true tec exp, and all they say is i can get that for you.

Mike, this is Louis, what i did the other day was spent appox 2 hrs, uploading and downloading different rear axle size's. My truck is a 2008 Silverado,5.3,4:56 gears,35 in tires. Only way I got it to work with no abs lite coming on and shifting correctly, and speedo on spot, is ,Go into the 87 octane, turn off the dod,,put in 4:56 gears, and 27 inch tires. test drove it for appox 200 miles this weekend. So far, ok, but let me expressed myself, been having the same truck ,same set up, old trinty for 3 years, new trinty for 3 wks.Only thing that was done was the new update I did on both trintys and that is when all started, So from my experience has to be a down load on yall end, because I used the old pcm with the orginal program, and the new pcm with a gm update, failed on both parts. Now this this is for the 2008,tried again on a 2009 and did the same changed the perimeters and made a different and fooled the tire size and worked ok. Hope this helps.
