6.4 Ram 2500 P0405 EGR Sensor A Circuit Low Code

Post by TheViking »

After swapping my factory ECU for the Diablosport supplied unit I constantly throw a P0405 code. If I clear the code, it immediately returns. Purchased the ECU/tuner through Hemifever and after contacting him this was the response.

Diablo has found that there are 2 hardware types for the '15 6.4 Ram. I have two other customers that had that issue and Diablo took the ecu back and flashed it with the other hardware type and fixed it. I would suggest calling diablo and maybe arranging the new base flash.

Can you please advise on the best way to proceed here. Thanks.

TheViking, any update on this issue that you were experiencing? I'm experiencing the same thing.

I had this code pop a few months ago , found out my EGR valve was bad--was $40 for a new one and gaskets.

Mine shouldn't have any issue, since it was fine when I replaced the OEM PCM with DiabloSport's PCM and my truck hasn't moved.

I'm also getting the same code. When I click on performance it keeps telling me to hook up my trinity to dsdownloader for the latest update. Even after the tool was updated my trinity continually says the same thing. Do I need to return the PCM, trinity or both to diablosport?

I am getting this same code as well and the code P04D0. I decided to reinstall the factory PCM and both codes went away. I really hope this gets fixed soon. Otherwise I'm left with a $1000 paper weight :x

Mine goes away when I swap the stock ECU back in. So don't think it's related to the valve in any way.

I spoke with Mike Litsch today. I have to send my unlocked PCM back to them for replacement. I was told that the incorrect hardware type was used for some of the 6.4 Ram PCMs that they shipped out and unfortunately mine was one of them. This is causing the odd error codes.

I put my original PCM back in and no more codes. It stinks that I have to wait again, because I was very happy with the HemiFever tune that I was using. I'm waiting on my shipping label and it's getting shipped back as soon as I receive it.

I received the new replacement PCM today and installed it in my truck. It seems to functioning properly with no codes. Is there any special process I should take when plugging the t1000 tuner back into my truck, because of the different PCM that was previously used? I did return the previous PCM to stock prior to removing it and shipping it back to you guys.
