Vehicle adaptives after adding tune

Does anyone know if after adding a tune to my 2012 Charger, will the computer still try and adjust to my driving style? For instance, if after adding a tune, if I spend a while driving slowly and in traffic, etc, should I then pull the negative battery cable, to reset the adaptives if I am going to be doing more performance oriented driving?
