Dsp power cord

Ive owned my dsp for quite some time. Recently the power cord ripped off the handheld exposing the wires inside. Now when i say ripped i dont mean completely off, i mean the black material that covers the wires at the neck ripped from the handheld exposing the internal wires. The dsp works fine but im afraid that those exposed wires can eventually tear since theres no protection. Can i send it in and have it repaired? I really dont want an intune or trinity as the dsp is very simple and never gives me issues.

its a simple fix if you take the cover off carefully and wrap some eelctrical tape around the bottom of the chord and then snug it back into the case, Id hate to charge you $99 + shipping to do that
