2016 Z06 A8 Tune Question

I have a 2016 Z06 A8.i have been reading here that their are problems with the tune mode.if I read right you have to select M7 when installing tune why?how come a8 mode has problems?i am thinking of buying 1 but I need some answers first.another question is what is the difference between the $399 tuner and the $599 tuner.seams like they both do the same.i do not track my car,normal street driving.

we dont tune the T87 8 speed controller just yet so you tell the tool ts a manual to skip the tcm until support is added (soon).

The i2 is a plug and play device, the Trinity is a monitor with on screen gauges, virtual drag tree, etc. Both offer the same tuning capabilities.

so the engine tune in the a8 and m7 are the same?just select m7 even though I have a a8 and the tune will work?not interested in a tranny tune,just motor.i have a halltech CAI,and a borla Xpipe now and thinking of getting a ported throttle body.will your stock tune work with these mods ok,or will I need a custom tune.

The engine tune's are not the same between the A8 and M7. By selecting the manual trans option, it's only ignoring the transmission controller. It's still making changes to the engine tune that goes with your a8 car.

The pre-load tunes in the tool will work with your setup however you'll get the most performance from your aftermarket parts with a custom tune.

I don't want to go with a custom tune because of warrenty issues.so in your opinion a ds tune will help more than hurt,and is it worth the money for me to buy 1.had your tune in my 2012 gs with a cai and I noticed a big difference.

custom tune or preset canned tune, doesn't matter man.. once you tune it, you tune it.. and restoring the original backup stock tune works the same, whether you have a custom tune or just use the preset canned tune.. doesn't matter, it will still be put back to stock either way..
