Intune2030 stuck on Please wait

Post by Skyhawk23 »

Is there anybody else out there have this issue. I ran a update on the In tune 2030 unit, then try to do a scan tool, to pull data logging. No luck, it is stuck on Please wait. It has been on please wait for a long long time.

Reset the OBDII plugs same thing, try to do a reset on the computer re-download the update again, thinking that the update is corrupted. Still the same thing.

After many many try, and reset it is still stuck at Please wait while try to access the scan tool.

The InTune 2030 was working fine before the update, and now it is stuck. Does anybody know how to reverse the update that was applied to the unit?

Thanks in advance for any help or suggestion

I had this same issue when I got my tuner last week. I called customer support and they had me delete a file on the update link. I won't go into detail as I would not want to give you wrong info and screw your tuner. Give them a call. it was easy and they worked with me from computer to the vehicle.

Gary,

Thanks for the only reply. I can't believe that we are the only two people that have that issue after the update that had ran on the i2 unit.

I did contacted customer support via email. MikeL responded finally and that was yesterday, he told me that he will forward the info to the calibration team?

MikeL did ask me to send the info.xml file to him, I guess they will take a look and see what is going on with the file?

Anyway, I am still waiting for them to reply back with a quick fix hopefully, otherwise I have a piece of junk in my hand and can do anything else with it.

Maybe I should have gone with a tuner instead of a canned tune. I think it will be easier to deal with.

Thanks again.

Call them. They dealt with me on the phone till it was working. i believe it only took about 30 min max on the phone and that's including the 5-10 min I waited on hold.
Don't give up. I love the tuner. It has really given my truck life. I have power when I want it now. No more pedal lag.

Gary,

I spoke to Mike L. he said that they are not the same problems. He just can believed that they told you to delete a file and the unit is working after that.

So he said that they have to look deeply, since he believed that the problem is on their end.

Thanks for the reply.

Hmmmm. Odd. I'll give them a call and ask some questions. My tuner is working fine.

Gary,

That may be the next step I will take. But Mike L I guess is the Customer Service manager? Said that it is a totally different situation.

I even offer to send the whole unit back maybe that will make it better for them to troubleshoot. No reply.

The bad thing about all this is that I just got the unit in July. And it is having issue.

I am trying to get a custom tune for the tuner since I have just installed some headers and x-pipes. Can do anything till the unit is working.

So my car is kind of in a limbo with CEL on. I didn't think that they would have that kind of Customer service for a big player in the Tuner arena.

Nobody from DiabloSport post on here either. Sad....

Thanks

Mine has also been stuck on Please wait when I attempted to update it. It updated all the info then when it was suppose to reboot itself it got stuck on please wait... I contacted diablo they said just manually reboot it. Now it finishes the download and reboots then goes right back to updating files like it's stuck on repeat...

I finally cal the customer support, and got the situation straight. They are going to send me a replacement unit. I think you should call them too, the more people call them about the same issue the more than likely they will look deeper into what is the cause of the problem.

When I spoke to them , all he said was there wasn't many call about the problem, so they think it is an isolated instance.

When I get the replacement unit on Tuesday, I will have to do another update according to the Tech Support, but I will update you guys if that fix the Please wait problem or not.

Hey Skyhawk,
When you sent your i2 back how did you handle your OEM tune upload/download/restore? Were you locked out or are they able to recover your factory tune?

DiabloDave,

I have not gotten my replacement here yet, but according to the Support he said jusy make sure that I return the turn to my factory tune before I switch out the unit.

So we have to wait and see.

I will post update on my status here once I have done the swap.

O.K. the new replacement unit just arrived today. Restore the original to the old unit, and that went O.K.

Updated the new unit and plug into the Car, and did the advance tune.

That all seem went well. No issue what so ever.

Now I will drive the car and see if everything is O.K., The data logging option is back, the scan tool is back.

So it seem the new unit fix the problem of stuck on Please wait.

Thanks to Clint @ DiabloSport Support.

The Old unit is going back tomorrow.

Thanks for replying and updating your solution.
My i2 was in the "Please Wait" mode for 45 minutes before I unplugged it, USB, plugged it back in and did a repeat update. Seems to have taken the new updates. I was then able to load custom tunes to the i2 that loaded to my vehicle. So far, not a problem. May have had a streak of luck in not locking up in the "Please wait" mode.
Thanks...
