I just purchased a used 2011 Wrangler Unlimited etc. Long story short, the Jeep came with a Turbo on it that shortly blew the engine after purchasing it. Worked with the dealership and they replaced the engine thankfully. However, when they were installing the new engine apparently one of their techs "flashed" the PCM with an update that disabled everything and they had to order a new PCM. I found this scanner hidden in the Jeep and thought I would update it and plug it in, but after hearing that a software update (of some kind) disabled my PCM at the dealer, I am nervous to do this with the inTune as I am not very familiar with it. Has anyone had any experiences like this? Can anyone lay my fears to rest?
