7165 Sink or Swim ?

Mistake? I just ordered a 7165 for my 05 6.0. Unfortunately, I did so prior to visiting this forum. It would seem to me from reading the majority of the posts here, I would be making a huge mistake flashing my truck with this product. Can anyone convince me otherwise, or should I just eat the restocking fee from the dealer and consider myself lucky?

Keep in mind that most users only come here here when they have problems. Given the tens of thousands of customers we have, the ones you see here with issues are a tiny percentage.

Also keep in mind that some of our competition took down their support forums and went to phone support only.

Thanks for the response John. Point well taken. My immediate concern is that it sounds like I am purchasing a product loaded with much maligned tunes which will require updating prior to installation. To me, this means more time, money, and probable aggravation before I even get started. What are the chances that the 7165 I have purchased is loaded with the most up to date tunes?

Ouch! Well, Cole is the Ford Diesel tuner and would have to give you any specifics. Look for him or Mike on Monday.

It won't do you any good to look for Cole or Mike on monday because they will respond with some BS that they are working on a fix or they will keep you informed on what is happening but it will be the last you hear from them. I have been waiting along with most others for 6 months for a fix ,r20 came out it works good on the 65 hp tune but the 100 hp is shit ,still waiting for a response to this problem,but nothing so far except that they will keep me informed. My advice get rid of it ,you don't want the headache that it will give to you.
