stuck on please wait screen

Post by 300sjrf »

I know this has been covered.. repeatedly; however, here i am stuck on this screen. Plugged it in, launched the updater and it ran through all the updates (group_3, group_4, group_5 etc) and said "complete, please press to reboot". I did...... no its been stuck on this please wait screen for 45 mins. What do i do? It has "group_update_5" at the bottom of the screen and "complete" on top (in the background behind the active please wait screen) but just stays at the "please wait" screen????

Some help would be much appreciated.

*on a MAC by the way. and here is the info.xml from when i plugged it in.

update

Got the ignition installer to finally load. Tried 10 times to update. Would continue to go through the motions and get stuck on the "please wait screen". Amidst this the ignition installer said "your device is up to date"..... OK... so i unplugged and took it to my car. Tried to revert it back to the stock tune and it said "error" then went into recovery mode. it did end up (as far as im aware) putting my stock tune back on. Took it back to the computer, plugged it in and now when i plug it in, the screen comes on and that's it; nothing happens at all now. Computer wont recognize it as a drive and does not show up at all on computer now. Took it back to my car to see if it would get past the opening screen and no... nothing.

This thing is a downward spiral... for as much as you pay for these things, this is junk. Wont update (i have tried numerous times) ... wont tune... now, it wont even recognize its plugged in and do ANYTHING at all! Was hoping someone would log on to help but no such luck.

tried two different cords, 4 different USB ports, a computer and a car. Nada.

help!!!

I feel your pain. my car has been stuck since yesterday. I'm kinda stranded until I can get some info on why my device won't read my pcm to get vin number all of a sudden.

Its ridiculous. Been reading countless stories of how this thing bugs out, doesn't work, messes something up. Well... they are all true!!! Diablo is such a big name in the tuning industry, its hard for me to understand how one of their (i would guess) best selling products is such a fickle piece of hardware?! No real help line; 9-5 M-F or whatever (same working hours as a lot of people, like me.. so calling and being on hold for a long time is not happening), no response on these forums; other than 9-5 M-F... Really? :crashing: :x

Frustrating. Sorry to hear about your car. Hope you can get it fixed and figured out.

Yeah me too. Hopefully we will hear something soon. I'm going to have to get a hotel room again for the night I guess. You would think that there would be some kind of emergency support system. I wish they would offer a product that let's you adjust pids without having to pay someone Everytime you want to change something with a tune. That in itself is BS.

Shoot... i would be happy, at this point, to just have something that you know.. works! Im super thankful my car started (i was dreading trying to start it after i received the error message and recovery mode message. but it started) and am sorry you're in an even worse predicament! An emergency help line, either phone, email or chat, that would be answered 24/7 would be sooo helpful. As i type this i have a turtle beach paper that came with my earphones that says in bright red "questions or setup issues? Get answers 24/7 at:" so on and so forth. Thats for my cheap $20 headphones! i can get help any time that their product does not work or i have an issue. Got me thinking: What else has this? An active help line for their products?

Xbox- yup, and it works. Ive had to use it many times
Netflix- yes, used it. Got right through and fixed my issue..
Hulu- Uh-huh
Apple- Yes (sometimes slow but its there and they know their stuff)
Verizon-yes
ATT-yes
My apartment- yes, emergency line
Samsung- yes
Vizio- yup
Groupon-yes
Direct tv- yes

I can go on and on! Now, again, i don't know the size of Diablo vs ANY of these (im sure smaller) but come on! There is help available when ish hits the fan; or just a question needs answered! Have some sort of help. Email.. chat system, someone actively on these forums! I'm sure they get inundated with questions, problems, help needed when Monday comes, well that would relieve so much of that! Im just venting.. but if i can get help for my cheap little headphones i would hope i could for my much more expensive tuning hardware that could potentially (as in your case and others) impact an entire vehicle due to it not working correctly.

I dont know.. who am i, i guess. :?: :?: I just hope to get this thing working again, correctly.

I tried that when it was working. But now the tuner will not do anything but light up. Doesn't go past the logo screen at all so I can't do anything with it. I have an RMA and have sent it back to you guys.

Awesome! How come the ignition installer still says there are updates available and tries to update each time I plug in?
