If I buy a U7198 for my trans am will I be able to log A/F % ? If not what would I follow for tuning ?
Thanks
U7198
RE: U7198
no, the 7198 does not have the AFR parameter...
it's not the predator's fault.. it's the GM PCM... it doesn't report that info...
the AFR parameter only recently appeared in the GM CAN-bus protocol ECM's..

RE: U7198
it will surely just read the mV signal from the narrowband o2's.

So, what I'm wondering is the only way get a good A/F reading with a wideband in my case ?
RE: Re: RE: U7198
yes... you'd need to get a wideband hooked up...

In any case, the only way to get accurate A/F info is from a wideband....

and to obtain an accurate wide-band setup, you must break out the piggy bank. $$$$$$$$$
around $400 or so for everything....some are cheaper.
