If I buy a U7198 for my trans am will I be able to log A/F % ? If not what would I follow for tuning ?

no, the 7198 does not have the AFR parameter...

it's not the predator's fault.. it's the GM PCM... it doesn't report that info...

the AFR parameter only recently appeared in the GM CAN-bus protocol ECM's..

it will surely just read the mV signal from the narrowband o2's.

yes... you'd need to get a wideband hooked up...

and to obtain an accurate wide-band setup, you must break out the piggy bank. $$$$$$$$$

around $400 or so for everything....some are cheaper.
