oil around turbo&intercooler boots
Hi I read on another post about oil being on the intercooler and turbo boots what causes that and what should I do about it. I just put a S&B intake on and noticed it in the intake tube. 02 7.3 F350 auto 73K miles.the predator I have is a 04 and has not been up date it's a ser.20036c ,ford_7_3-7r19z is there any worth wile updated for that? thanks for any info

pigiron,FORD USES THE INTAKE INLET PIPE TO THE TURBO TO PULL CRANKCASE VAPOR OUT OF THE ENGINE SO IN THE PROCESS IT SCAVAGES SOME OIL OUT OF THE LEFT VALVE COVER.YOU CAN BUY A RAYCOR SYSTEM TO FILTER THIS,VERY COSTLY.OR YOU CAN TURN AROUND THE VALVE VENT AND ADD A PIECE OF HOSE AND DUMP IT TO THE GROUND,NOT EPA FRIENDLY.THE BEST AND CHEAPEST THING TO DO IS REMOVE THE HOSES AND CLEAN WITH CONTACT CLEANER,AND RETORQUE THE CLAMPS.
