The dreaded "Please Wait"

Post by sstoner911 »

So I had the issue of the tuner being stuck on Please wait after clicking "Tune Vehicle" . I was given Vehicle-2r01u.itf to install and that worked. However, after Ignition installed another update I could not get past Please wait again!

What gives??

Well we may be approaching the point of no return. I dropped in the Vehicle-2r01u.itf again and now it stalls at checking for updates.

I have had one chance to erven apply a tune and even that failed (failed to write).....but a week later no luck.

load this to the i2 drive and let it import and it should be fine.
Avoid ignition once this is loaded for now.

this update works for reading the oem backup but not able to put any custom tune in it. As we put the custom tune in we can select it but it goes back to main screen instead of installing it.

Plugged my i2 to my car today to do some data logging. Scan Tool menu opened, but when I clicked the Data Logging menu the screen posted the Please Wait message and stayed there. Unplugged/plugged-in the i2 and attempted Data Logging again; same result, stuck on the Please Wait message forever.
info.xml
I have noticed the fix for this problem, with other users, is to import the "Vehicle-2r01u.itf" file to the i2 drive. Will this fix my "Please Wait" hang issue?

Update:
Importing the "Vehicle-2r01u.itf" file to the i2 drive did not resolve the problem. i2 still hangs after selecting Data Logging menu.

Importing the "Vehicle-2t01xh.itf" file to the i2 drive did not resolve the problem either. So I guess I need a interface file that works for my i2 or a wait for a general purpose fix in a future Ignition update. Which fix do you think will arrive first?

I updated my Intune i2 today, went and installed the 93 tune on my '04 NSRT-4 and modified the fan parameters for my 180 degree thermostat and flashed it no problem. Started my car and the check engine light stayed on which was weird since it wasn't on before. I turned the car off, hooked up the i2, and went to read the codes and it's just sitting at "Please Wait" for 15 minutes now. Granted the code reader has literally never worked for me this is something entirely new.

The "Vehicle-2t01xf.itf" file didn't work for me. Imported it to the i2 successfully. Scan Tool menu opened, but when I clicked the Data Logging menu the screen posted the "Please Wait" message and stayed there until I unplugged the i2.
