help with custom tune

iv bought a costpm tune so im wondering if i have to put origanal back in car b4 loading new tune to my programer .or you you would give me run down of steps to follow please.its a 06 mustang gt with 7140 programer.thanx

thanx for quick responce.so guess this meens i dont have to reinstall origanal 1st.
this is my second diablo programmer 1st was for my dodge diesel.they both have been super products and made huge differances in the way they both run
