Turning off the EGR

Post by crf450rr »

Does turning off the EGR in a R/T make the motor run lean?

I have a GSM CAI, 180 t-stat, 91 CAI tune...

Thanks

Use it if you physically remove the EGR system.

EGR recirculates exhaust gases back into your motor to reduce emissions, it is not operational during open loop so there is no real performance benefit for removing it.

But, I have noticed that there's no crap in the intake manifold with it turned off.
