Throttle Boost with MPG tune?

Post by offwhite »

Mama always said the only stupid question is the one you don't ask:

Is it worth it at all to try the MPG tune with Throttle boost? Currently running the 87 tune with 15% throttle boost. It's more fun to drive, although not earth shattering difference, not bad, but would love to see some more MPG and kind of thinking in conjunction with the throttle boost it might be OK........?

it can be counter productive if you are aggressive with the throttle...

Thanks Mike -

kinda figured these would have opposing objectives. I drive with the mpg display up all the time and constantly monitor it, use the new found throttle to get up to speed reasonably, not race/teenager style, then settle into the best economy driving style I can achieve. Given that info would you still think the combination a waste of time?

Having been strongly advised to connect a battery charger EVERY time I run the tuner it’s a hassle to “play” with the settings much - hence the request for opinions ahead of time.

thanks
