You can buy a EGR delete kit for around $700.00, or you can do it yourself for almost nothing.

Remove your EGR cooler and put a block off plate where the exhaust comes into the cooler, then put another block off plate where the exhaust would exit the cooler. Use some high temp silicone on the exit end of the cooler. This will prevent exhaust from entering the cooler which will prevent cooler failure. It will also still allow the coolant to flow the through the cooler so you don't have to reroute the coolant. By using the silicone and the block off plate on the exit end of the cooler you will make sure that exhaust cannot enter the manifold or coolant if there were ever a coolant leak inside the EGR cooler.

I have done this and I am very satisfied. My truck is 2003 so I didn't need to remove the up pipe coming to the turbo. You will need to remove the up pipe and take out he scoop inside of the pipe, this blocks 50% of the exhaust flow.

Also, this is a good time to replace the small 2inch hose that connects the cooler to the manifold.

here are the pictures of the block off plates, you can see the round plate that is installed that will block the entrance and the oval shaped plate that will block the exit side.
