Got my predator a couple weeks ago. Did some data logging on the factory stock tune prior to installing any DS tune, got LT knock of about 2.0 deg. during WOT runs.
Installed the 93octCAI tune, first run log I was reading LT knocks as high as 8.0 deg. during WOT. Adjusted the WOT spark across the board with -1 deg retard, LT knk now peaking at 2.5. Retarded the spark -1 more deg again and made another run......still having LT knk at WOT. Retarded the spark again -1 deg for a total of -3 deg from the initial canned tune setting. Now I don't see any LT knk during WOT but did peak out one time at 1.0 during slow down (foot off pedal) at around 3400 engine RPMs.
Is this ok? Should I never want to see any LT knk? Is -3 deg retard on WOT spark settings too much? Should I adjust the WOT fuel as well? Should I try running the 91octCAI tune instead?
Please help as I don't want to hurt her.

RE: LT knk won
Try refueling at a different gas station and never return to that gas station that you got your last tank from! See if that helps.

LT knock is bad. LT is the computer adjusting for alot of ST knock. You will get slight ST knock but should never get LT knock. Try different fuel first then go from there. Once you get no LT or slight ST knock with the STOCK TUNE then you can work on the canned tunes. My bet is crappy fuel because you are saying you get knock on the stock tune as well.

I can understand if the fuel sux and it can cause the LT knk. But does that mean I am at an extreme ajustment with the -3 deg spark in my current setup?

I would put the stock tune back and run out the gas and put in new and then run some logs. You will probably see a big difference once you put new gas in and then reset all modifications you have done in the Predator and then try the Perf 93 CAI.

RE: LT knk won
I agree with BlueSunshine. I've had up to 6 degrees with bad fuel on the ST with bad gas. It sounds like your gas is even worse. You bought 91 but really got 87.
RE: LT knk won
I actually bought 93 but if it is crappy gas who knows what it actually is.....I will definately try a different station....any recommendations for SC.....Exxon maybe???
Thanks for the responses yall.

Did you add fuel to the program first. Should add approx 5%. Should really be tuned on dyno with wideband. BUT always add fuel before you remove spark
