2005 Mustang possible Mafia Malfunction

Post by 05madmax »

Hi I am having an issue with my vehicle that is being tuned. they did a engine rebuild. its got a procharger p1sc with a 3" pulley. they put it on the dyno and there seems to bee too much voltage being put through from what the tuner said. it also seems that after doing a pull when the tuner removes his foot from the gas pedal the car starts to rev up and down on its own. the O2 sensors were dead so he said that might be a contributing factor. they are also going to run a voltage diagnostic on it to see if the Mafia is bad. is it possible for a bad mafia to cause the car to act the way it is acting?

Well, non functioning O2 sensors would be my first concern for sure.
Replace them and see where we're at.

the o2 sensors were replaced. they helped clean it up some but it is still vibrating quite a bit and with a check engine light on. the shop says it is not giving any codes though.

No codes makes it tough to figure out.
Best suggestion is to remove the MAFia and see if it still has the issue.
