i got the file ...now ...3 hrs..a new $40.00 cable.later..i cannot for the life of me get this pos of a computer to talk to the programmer..anyone else have this problem..it for dang sure worked the last time..only diff this go-round it has the 7r19dz in it..im running xp..i have tried the baud rate ,,,port settings..im lost..

On "auto-detect" is DSDL detecting the predator? I assume not. What type of USB to serial converter are you using?

this thing is acting all kinds of stupid..the only thing that has changed is the new crom..i have the 7170..it came with the 8r05..now has the 7r19dz..i have tried the old cable and reinstalled the driver like 6 or so times..bought a new version of the same from radio-shack.# on the driver cd is 26-949 ..i even tried loading from my wifes pc which uses vista..the cd does give the driver..nothing,,i was able (1) time to pick up some sort of communication using the hyperterminal or whatever its called....i have tried auto-connect..ive tried going through legacy ..i cant get any visibility from predator to dsdl..i have moved the port setting so much i cant remember what went where,,way to stressfull..about ready to send it to you guys and let you all fix it.

should i try the custom tune installation instructions? extract a copy of orginal back-up and then try to install custom tune.i have done exactly as said in the email..

i was thinking guys.if i could lean up the fuel a lil..(ok alottt)...add the 110hp tune.might be able to turn over these 285's..32lbs of boost aint nothing to sneeze at..just wish it wasnt so fat..help me cram this file in .
