We LX guys with the 5.7 and MDS have called this the MDS Bump or Pulse due to Torque management being effected by the tunes. That is why you feel it with MDS enabled and not so with it disabled. I had it before the predator when I changed my exhaust to Magnaflow. But it was most noticable when I ...

RE: i have a 300c 5.7 with a cmr tune
The PID's to watch are KNK-ST and KNK-LT along with ECT, RPM, MPH, Base Spark and Actual Spark at cylinder 1 and IAT which is intake air temp. KNK-ST up to 4* is acceptable or normal and can be false knock. It can be tuned out with better gas and or the addition of fuel in the rpm range that it ...

RE: does any own a 2006 300c and installed 9r08
I just installed a new Mopar TCM and it rocks. The 9r08 crom from Diablo does not get close to the functionality and shifting that this TCM offers. It has all the manual shifting you want and in drive it will surely make her jump. Check out HHP or Mopar Super Center it cost around 230-260. It is an ...

Mopar TCM
I just installed a new Mopar TCM,
Here are my thoughts, I have a 05 300C 5.7 and have been running the 9r07 crom with raised and stock shift points and increased shift firmness. The new Mopar TCM definitely has a harder shift and the Autostick function is different than the stock TCM. If this is ...

RE: EGR/MDS OFF QUESTION?
Gooeytek,
I'm not sure how that would effect an emissions test, but if you search the lx forums web site for EGR I would bet you'll find the answer. The SRT8 dont need it due to cam lift and separation, so I'm told. My honest opinion is that it will not show up on your emissions test because I ...

RE: RPM setting - Shift point & Rev Limiter
I believe it will raise the rev limit in drive to 6700 rpm by default if you select to raise the shift point. I set my rev limit to 400 rpm above what I set the shift point at and as for the optimum that is something you may want to experiment with. Some guys get better ET's at the track with raised ...

Jayden,

Smockrat,
If you updated your predator before restoring the original backup to your car's PCM then that's not good and you will have to call Diablo for advice. Remember to restore your original backup prior to doing any updates to the tuner. If you still need the 9r05 crom I can provide a link to ...

Brandy16,
Just try turning the MDS off with the tuner and see. All I can say is that when I did the mods as in exhaust and the tuner my car would lunge forward at cruising speeds and the tach would jump by 200 rpm and then back down. When I turned off the MDS with the tuner it stopped.
Thanks to ...

RE: after 9r08 revision
When you select a tune you can scroll though and select MDS off. This will also turn off the EGR. No other way around it, but it will stop the MDS pulse you are getting. It's the same with the addition of a new exhaust and the drone and MDS pulse you get by that type of mod. 6.1 Hemi's dont have the ...

RE: Programing predator question
If you are applying a software or CROM update to the Predator then its done with the AC adapter and your computer using the program called DSDownloader. If you have a tune in the car you need to restore the original backup that is inside the Predator to the car. Then apply the new update to the ...

RE: O2 Sensor - Need monitoring advice
I run catless and have turned off the rear o2 sensors. My exhaust smells a little rich too. No CEL's at all. I believe the PID's are o2-1/1, o2-1/2, o2-2/1 and o2-2/2. I have a 5.7 hemi and run with the EGR and MDS disabled. I just made a run from PA to Louisiana 1153 miles down got 27 MPG doing 65 ...

RE: 9r07 fan problem - stock fan now starts at 203 degrees
With the AC on it automatically cycles the fans regardless of the settings that are set by the predator. This has been pointed out on other forums. And yes there are settings for the fans w/ AC on in the Predator.

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Transmission modes?
I have an 05 300C 5.7 and there are the 2 modes available using 9r04 and 9r07. Mode 2 is the one I have used and it shifts when I shift it or at the rev limit set by the predator which is adjustable. I think the rev limiter is the key but I could be wrong.
